Robert "Bobby" Edward Rice

Mr. Robert Edward Rice, age 70, of Louisville returned to his Heavenly Father on September 5, 2015. Mr. Rice worked as a machinist for Naval Ordnance and retired after 36 years of service. Mr. Rice was a United States Marine Corps veteran serving in Vietnam. Among those that preceded him in death include his father, James Rice; brothers, Jimmie and Gary Rice; and granddaughter, Sabrina Roberts. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 29 years, Faye Pullen Rice; children, Brian, Michael (Tracy) and Richard (Tabitha) Rice, Kelly Ellis (William), Craig Davis (Angie) and Stacey Lurie (Steve); 12 grandchildren, Kelly, Dylan, Jaydan, Jackson, Alex, Caleb, Bethany, Hudson, Kori, Shelby, Mackenzie and Morgan; 3 great-grandchildren; mother, Dorothy Denny Rice; brother, Donald Rice (Lynn); and sister, Susie Buckner.

Funeral service will be conducted at noon on Wednesday, September 9, 2015 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Highway at Brooks Road; use John Harper entrance). Friends may pay their respects on Tuesday from 2-8 pm and Wednesday from 10 am until time of service at Schoppenhorst. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
