Robert Eugene Conway

Mr. Robert Eugene Conway, age 92, of Shepherdsville returned to his Heavenly Father on August 8, 2024. Mr. Conway was born on October 19, 1931, in Louisville, KY to the late George and Hazel (Whiteside) Conway. Mr. Conway was a millwright with International Harvester. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Shepherdsville and a U. S. Army veteran. He was a mason with Bullitt Lodge #155 F. & A.M. He was a member of the Scottish Rite and a Kentucky Colonel. Among those that preceded him in death are his parents, wife, Billie Jean (Adkins) Conway; and siblings, Ray, Jack, and Ricky Conway, and Donna Conway.

He leaves to cherish his memory his sons, Jim Conway, Scott Conway (Margie), and Roger Conway; grandchildren, Christy Gilson (Pete), Jason, Josh, Cody, and Mike Conway; five great-grandchildren; brother, Jerry Conway (Jackie); and sister, Brenda Stallard (Lee).

Funeral service will be conducted at 12 pm on Wednesday, August 14, 2024, in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Highway at Brooks Road) with interment in Bethany Cemetery. Family and friends may pay their respects on Tuesday from 2-8 pm and Wednesday from 10 am until the time of the service. www.subfuneralhome.com
