Robert L. Stoess

Brother Robert L. Stoess, Sr., age 67, of Shepherdsville returned to his Heavenly Father on April 4, 2013. Mr. Stoess retired from Louisville Male High School where he served in maintenance. Mr. Stoess founded and was pastor of Shepherdsville Church of the Nazarene for 41 years. Among those that preceded him in death include his parents, Chester and Mary Stoess; daughter, Sherri Ann Marshall; stepmother, Martha Berry; and sister, Norma Ross. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Vivian Stoess; sons, Robert Stoess, Jr. (Brandy), Greg Stoess and Tim Goode (Kim); daughters, Michelle Stoess Wortham (Garnett) and Theresa Stoess Baker (Bobby); brothers, Kenneth (Lynda) and Sherman Stoess (Judy); sister, Ruth Settles (John); 22 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be conducted at 11 am on Monday, April 8, 2013 at Shepherdsville Church of the Nazarene (244 N. Maple Shepherdsville, KY 40165) with interment in Resthaven Memorial Park. Friends may pay their respects on Saturday and Sunday from 11 am until 8 pm at Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Highway at Brooks Road).
