Rodney Eugene Griffith

Mr. Rodney Eugene Griffith, age 65, of Shepherdsville, Kentucky passed away on Friday, November 3, 2023, with his family by his side. He was born in Springfield Ohio, on June 28, 1958, to the late Bill Griffith and Gaye Griffith. He retired from Flynn Brothers Construction Company after many years of service. Rodney spent his spare time riding his motorcycle, working on old cars and always had a project he was working on, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and playing with his grandchildren who all knew him as their papaw. 

Among those that preceded him in death are his bonus mom and dad George and Ruby McKenzie, his biological father Frankie McKenzie, brother Allen McKenzie, grandson Tyler Johnston, his friends Don Ritchie, Johnny Price, Jack Lee, and Carl Jones.

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife Sally (Roby) Griffith, son George Griffith (Andrea), daughter Rebecca Johnston, five grandchildren Hayle, Kayle, Savanna, Koen, Rodney, 2 great-grandchildren, sister Beverly Perrill (Mat), brother Emerson McKenzie (Loretta), sister Connie Brewer, and a bonus sister Zee Dicesare, along with a host of other dear family and friends. Rodney will be truly missed by all that knew him.

A Memorial visitation will be conducted from 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 11, 2023, with a Memorial Service at 6:00 p.m. that evening at Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (4895 N. Preston Highway at Brooks Road). Cremation was chosen.
