

Ronnie was born May 31, 1942 to James and Evelyn Bond. He was a member of the Cedar Grove Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
He was a Louisville firefighter for 38 years. He was a kind, generous and loving man. Family was very important to him. Ronnie also loved Jehovah and his spiritual family, the worldwide brotherhood. On July 14, 2014 he was proud to be baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses at the International Convention with his brothers and sisters from all around the world. He loved Jehovah’s creation. He always enjoyed the outdoors and being with people. He never met a stranger.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife and best friend of 62 years, Fay Cundiff Bond; son Dana Bond (Vicky); daughter, Cathy Bond Burke; grandchildren, Kevin Burke, Derek Burke, Jessica Burke Duvall (Austin); great grandchildren, Braxton Burke, Hailey Burke, Garrett Hoover; sister, Sylvia Parkhurst; brothers, Kenny Bond, Larry Bond; a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Preceding him in death, his parents, James and Evelyn; his son-in-law and buddy, Jerry Burke; sisters, Nadeen, Margaret, Lucille, Virginia, Cindy, Angie; brothers, Kirby and Tony.
Funeral service will be held on Monday, September 25, 2023 at 6:00pm in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy at Brooks Rd). Family and friends may pay their respects on Monday from 12:00pm until the time of service at 6:00pm.
