Sandra "Sandy" Denise Britt

Mrs. Sandra “Sandy” Denise Britt, age 64, of Louisville, Kentucky returned to her Heavenly Father on Tuesday, June 4, 2024. She was born on October 30, 1959, in Louisville, Ky, too Dennis Carey and Virginia Louise “Douglas”. She was a dedicated Office Receptionist for over 25 years for the Bullitt Central School System. Last year she was given the award “Heart of Bullitt Central” of which was well deserved. Sandy also was a member of Little Flock Baptist Church, she enjoyed dancing, music, spending time at the beach, restoring old furniture, taking tours through houses always looking for her next design. She loved bright colored flowers, and board games. However, most of all she was a wonderful wife and homemaker for 42 years, a terrific mom to her 3 children, and a loving and caring Nana to her 8 grandchildren who she truly loved. She will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her, especially Virginia her mom.

She is also preceded in death by her brother, Michael Carey and Aunt Maudie Bell.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her loving husband David Britt, sons Bradley Britt (Stephanie), Nathan Britt (Jennifer), daughter Amelia Britt, grandchildren Kelson, Jaxton, Canon, Aubree, Dean, Hudson, Slade and Elijah Britt, parents Dennis Carey and Virginia Douglas, brother Jeff Carey, and a host of nieces, nephews and other dear family and friends. 

A funeral service will be held at 6 p.m. on Friday, June 7, 2024, in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (4895 Preston Hwy at Brooks Rd). Family and Friends may pay their respects on Friday from 12 p.m. until 6 p.m. Cremation to follow.
