Shirley Ann Avis Hoffman

Mrs. Shirley Ann Avis Hoffman, age 71, of Hillview returned to her Heavenly Father on October 1, 2013. Mrs. Hoffman was a homemaker and a member of Little Flock Baptist Church. Among those that preceded her in death include her parents, Claude and Lurie Avis; husband, George Hoffman; son, Arthur Hoffman; three sisters, Arlene Avis, Doris Esarey and Donna Olson; and four brothers, Cecil Turner, Claude Avis, Jr., Louis Avis and Orville Avis. She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Doris Asbury; sons, Claude Hoffman (Lori) and Tim Hoffman; nine grandchildren; sisters, Edna Vincent, Darlene Crone (Skip) and Leona Rice (Tom); and brother, Gary Avis.

Funeral service will be conducted at 7:30 pm on Friday, October 4, 2013 at Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Highway at Brooks Road) with interment in Brookland Cemetery on Saturday at 10 am.
