She is preceded in death by her parents, William Cravens and Josie Smallwood Gentry.
She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Owen Newton, Jr. (Connie), Patsy Brooks (Wayne) and Charles Newton; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; brothers, William Cravens and Henry Cravens (Ginger) and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Schoppenhorst Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy at Brooks Rd.) where visitation will take place from 11:00 am until the time of service. Burial will be in Brookland Cemetery.
