Theodore Benjamin "Ted" Morrison

Mr. Theodore Benjamin “Ted” Morrison, age 69, of Fern Creek returned to his Heavenly Father on June 1, 2018. Ted was dedicated to his family and his work. He was the former owner of Gym & Swim Leisure Concepts and was currently employed at Watson’s of Clarksville. Ted’s athletic abilities started at an early age. Ted was a competitive diver and gymnast for America Turners where he performed trapeze acts and fire-eating in their circus’. He was awarded a scholarship to U of L where he won many competitions in gymnastics before graduating in 1970. In addition, Ted loved volleyball and played on a traveling team. He loved golfing, fishing, bowling, etc. His favorite escape was to the beach with his family and friends. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather (Pops). He became a child again in the presence of his grandchildren, Charli and Max. Ted was proud to be first in the carpool line. Among those that preceded him in death include his parents, Clyde and Betty Jo (Clark) Morrison; and brother, Clyde Morrison, Jr. He leaves to cherish his memory; his loving wife of 41 years, Marissa (Thompson) Morrison; son, Tyler Morrison (Chrissy); grandchildren, Charli and Maxwell; brothers, Tommy (Gaby) and Danny Morrison; and a host of family and friends.

Funeral service will be conducted at 11 am on Friday, June 8, 2018 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home Mt. Washington (Hwy. 44 East at 123 Winning Colors Drive) with interment in Cave Hill Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects on Thursday from 1-8 pm and Friday from 9 am until time of service at the funeral home.
