Thomas Ray Phelps

Mr. Thomas Ray Phelps, age 83, of Hillview, returned to his Heavenly Father on Thursday, February 8, 2018. Mr. Phelps was a member of Saint Teresa of Calcutta. He served the United States in the Air Force, ran the Teen Club at St. Mary’s Catholic Church and retired from LG&E after 39 years of service.

Among those who preceded him in death include, his parents, William “Willie” and Mabel Phelps; his daughter, Julianna Marie Phelps and his brother, Larry Phelps.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Jan Worland Phelps; children, Bill Phelps (Kim), Tom Phelps, II (Robin), Jeni Bullock (Bryan), Tracy Freeman (Liz), and Glenn Pruitt (Jana); grandchildren, Nick, Janie, Josh, Kyle, Missy, Kaiz, Devon, Julia, Ty, Jagger, Olivia and Logan; great- grandchildren, Dallas, Dean and Gaven; sister, Judy Holt; his dear friends and neighbors, Chaz and Heather Hardin and Cheri and John Hall; a host of many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and other family and friends.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, February 12, 2018 at St. Teresa of Calcutta Catholic Church (903 Fairdale Rd., Fairdale, KY). Friends and family may pay their respects on Sunday from 11:00 am until 8:00 pm at Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with burial at Evergreen Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Home of the Innocents.
