William "Bub" McCorkle

   William Christopher “Bub” McCorkle, age 33 of Fairdale, returned to his Heavenly Father on Saturday, December 30, 2023. He was born on May 10, 1990, in Louisville, Kentucky to William and Tabitha (Perkins) McCorkle. He loved the outdoors and especially enjoyed taking his sons and nephews hunting but his true passion was his family. He was preceded in death by his Papaw Bill, Papaw Ronnie, Grandma Jackie, Nan, Aunt Debbie, and Uncle Robin.

  In addition to his parents, he leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Jennifer Lynn, who was blessed to be part of his life for 18 years; children, William Jace McCorkle and Levi Ray McCorkle; siblings, Michael Berding and Ciara McCorkle; grandparents, Martha (Charles) Pickens, Judy McCorkle, and Phillip Kane; uncle, Ronald Perkins (Holly); nephew, Blake Berding; niece, Hannah Jones; sisters and brothers-in-law, Kim (Rob), Debbie, Brittany (Zac), Albert (Felecia), Amber (Jacob), Josh and Nathan; mothers and fathers-in-law, Mike and Mattie Riggle and Greg and Debbie Greene; spiritual adviser, Justin Renfro; his dog Blu and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

   A funeral service will be conducted on Sunday, January 7, 2024, at 5 pm at Schoppenhorst, Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home (4895 N. Preston Hwy. in Shepherdsville) with cremation to follow. Friends and family may pay their respects on Sunday, January 7, 2024, from 1 pm until time of service at Schoppenhorst, Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home.
