

Mr. William Edward Maloney, age 70, of Cox’s Creek returned to his Heavenly Father on May 1, 2021. Mr. Maloney was born on July 31, 1950 in Louisville, KY to the late John James and Mary Dale (Heinsohn) Maloney. He was a self-employed carpenter and a Catholic by faith. He was a 1970 graduate of Durrett High School. Among those that preceded him in death are his parents, sister, Mary Wagner; son, Kevin Cooper; and great-granddaughter, Lillian.
He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 38 years, Denise (Stewart) Maloney; children, Shannon Jett (Keith), Paula Caulk, Tim Cooper (Tracy), Allen Cooper (Angie), and Susan Cooper; grandchildren Justin (Carli), who is deployed serving our country, Jacob (Rebecca), Nathan (Drea), Makayla, Todd (Heather), Lane (Bayleigh), Eli (Maddy), Hayley (Caleb), Kaden, McKenzie, Tory, Erica, and JC; 10 great-grandchildren, Wyatt, Lilli, Weslee, Rayna, Killian, Jameson, Hadley, Rhett, Wyatt T., and Kylie; godsons, Chris and Brian Maloney; siblings, John Maloney, Jr. (Barbara), Thomas Maloney (Fran), Stephen Maloney (Jeneda), and Anita Burden (Mark); his loving fur companion, Fergie; aunts, Alice Ernst (Phil) and Annalee Forshee; great friends, Jason Lovvorn and Ken Briney, who the family is greatly appreciative of all the love and support the 2 have given; and a host of family and friends.
Funeral service will be conducted at noon on Saturday, May 8, 2021 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Highway at Brooks Road) with interment in Bardstown Cemetery.
