Wilma Jean Cummings

Mrs. Wilma Jean “Whitely” Cummings, age 93, of Louisville, returned to her Heavenly Father on Monday, March 4, 2024. Wilma was born in Tunnel Hill, KY on July 27, 1930 to Emmett and Dallice Whitely.  She was preceded in death by her Husband, Drexel L. Cummings; parents; brother, Clifford Whitely; sisters, LaVerne Wilson, Mary Ellis Ford, Eva Nell Farris and Anna Pearl Keith. She leaves to cherish her memory her  children, Dwayne Cummings (Charlotte), Terry L. Cummings (Sherrie), Marlon K. Cummings (Sharon), Mark F. Cummings (Stephanie) and Lana G. Durbin (Harold); grandchildren, Shannon, Chad, Liz, Sarah, Bryce, Austin, Anthony, McKinsey, Mindy, Kamille, Damian, Luke and Blake; great Grandchildren, Michael, Candice, Matthew, Zachary, Micah, Xavier, Judah, Isaiah, Norah, Piper, Lydia, Josiah, Annabelle, Eva Jean, Cristian, Decklan, Wyatt and Riley; great great grandchildren, Lillie and Adaline; sister, Brenda Ford; brother, Larry Whitely; and a host of family and friends. Funeral service will be held at 1 pm on Friday, March 8, 2024 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with burial in Brookland Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects on Thursday from 4 pm until 7 pm and on Friday 11 am until time of service at the funeral home.
