Zenaida "Sonia" Rodriguez age 75 of Fairdale was born December 21, 1938 to the late Rafael Garrastegui and Ramona Perez in Puerto Rico and died January 2, 2014. Mrs. Rodriguez was a member of the Congregation of Jehovah Witnesses and a loving homemaker.
Among those who preceded her in death include a brother, Mike Rodriguez and her parents.
She leaves to cherish her memory her beloved husband, Carlos Juan Rodriguez; children, Wanda Rodriguez (Jack Barnett), Carlos Rodriguez (Mary), Ricardo Rodriguez (Maria) and Angie Schaftilein (Todd); sister, Naida Soto; brothers, Edwin (Sara), Rafael (Rosa), Joe Rodriguez, and Sigfrido Garrastegui; nine grandchildren; a host of other family and friends.
Funeral service will be held 4 P.M. Sunday at Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks (Preston Highway at Brooks Road) with entombment in Resthaven Memorial Park. Friends may pay their respects from 1 P.M. until 4 P. M. Sunday at Schoppenhorst.
