Darryl Edward Pekar

Funeral Mass is under the direction of Buffington Funeral Home in Shiner, Texas and will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at Saints Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church in Shiner, Texas with Father Kirby Hlavaty officiating. Interment will follow at the Shiner Catholic Cemetery in Shiner, Texas. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00pm at Buffington Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, May 26, 2015, with Deacon Joe Machacek officiating.

Darryl was born on February 4, 1966 in Shiner, Texas. He was the son of Edward and Charlene (Nerada) Pekar. After high school, Darryl worked as a Parts Rep. He married Desiree Zbranek on August 4, 2000 at home in Shiner, Texas. He liked to play dominoes and playing with his cats and kittens. He enjoyed watching various programs on TV.

Darryl is survived by his wife, Desiree Pekar, one daughter; Victoria Stewart of Houston, Texas, his parents; Edward Pekar of Texas and Charlene Weber of Shiner, Texas, two brothers; Darren Pekar and his significant other, Kadedra Hale of Shiner, Texas, Dwayne Pekar and his wife, Lanna of Georgetown, Texas, one sister Cheryl Miears and her husband, Greg of Shiner, Texas, aunt and uncle; Cynthia and Larry Botard of Shiner, Texas, and numerous other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his step-father; Oscar Weber, Grandparents; Charles and Georgia Nerada, John and Matilda Pekar, and one uncle; James Nerada.
