Jacinto Jessie Canales

Jacinto Jessie Canales age 100 of Shiner passed away February 13, 2015. Jessie was born on August 17, 1914 in Yoakum, Texas to the late Tiburcio Canales and Leonor Garza Canales. He was a member of the St. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church, a 60 year member of the American Legion and Veteran of Foreign War and an Army Veteran of WWII.

He is survived by numerous nieces and nephews and extended family. Pallbearers will be- Joe Tijerina, Ronnie Moreno, Thomas Gonzales, Kenneth Kaiser, Wyatt Kaiser, and Henry (KiKi) Luna.

He is preceded in death by his wife Evelyn Morales Canales, 4 sisters and 1 brother.

Visitation will start at 1:00 pm Monday, February 16, 2015 at the Buffington Funeral Home-Shiner with a rosary being recited 7:00 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 am Tuesday, February 17, 2015 at the St. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church with Father Kirby Hlavaty officiating. Burial will follow at the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Yoakum.
