

Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, June 30, 2016 at 10:00 am at Saints Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church in Shiner, Texas with Father Kirby Hlavaty officiating. Interment will follow at Shiner Catholic Cemetery. A Rosary will be recited on Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at 7:00 pm at Buffington Funeral Home Chapel with Deacon Joe Machacek officiating. Visitation will begin at 1:00 pm on Thursday, June 29, 2016.
Mary was born in Shiner, Texas on August 11, 1923. She was the daughter of Jim and Ida (Janak) Caka. She married Rudie V. Wagner on September 23, 1947 in Shiner, Texas. She worked at the Shiner Hospital as a Nurses Aide for 12 years. She enjoyed being a homemaker and caring for her children. Mary liked to sew and care for her garden. She enjoyed cooking and canning, and making lunch for the grandchildren. There was no such a thing as an orphaned animal when Mary was around. Mary loved to babysit the grandchildren.
Mary is survived by two sons; Alvin Wagner of Shiner, Texas, Raymond Wagner of Shiner, Texas, three daughters; Janice Lehnert of Gonzales, Texas, Delores Panus and her husband, Mark of Shiner, Texas, Marlene Parr and her husband, Darrel of Shiner, Texas, two brothers; Edmund Caka and his wife Marie of Shiner, Texas, Victor Caka and his wife Dolores of Shiner, Texas, one sister-in-law; Betty Caka,six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; Jim and Ida Caka, her loving husband, Rudie Wagner, and one brother, Edward Caka and one son-in-law; Gary Lehnert
Pallbearers for Mrs. Wagner will be; Dwayne Lehnert, Brian Lehnert, Kristy Lehnert, Jeremy Parr, Jeffery Parr, and Ryan Panus.
