Patricia A. Kurtz

Patricia Ann Kurtz, 68, of Shiner, Texas passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, June 16, 2012 surrounded by her husband and sons. She was born February 27, 1944 in Shiner to the late Felix and Mary (Brezina) Chilek. Pat enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, and she especially loved being "Momo" to her 4 grandchildren. She had a deep faith in God and His Blessed Mother and she enjoyed working in her yard and tending to her flowers and landscaping. Pat worked at Boedeker Precision and was a member of the Catholic Daughters.

She is survived by her husband, John E. Kurtz, who she was married to for 47 years. She is also survived by her son John Nick Kurtz and wife Jamie Kurtz, grandchildren Madison Kurtz and John Grayson Kurtz; son Jeffrey Kurtz and wife Jessica Kurtz, grandchildren Kelsey Kurtz and Kallie Kurtz; sister Ludmila "Micki" Kosler and husband Gerard Kosler; sister Margaret Loos and husband Jim Loos.

She is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Agnes Chilek; brothers, Gratcian Chilek, and Sylvester Chilek.

Visitation will begin at 4:00 pm, Monday, June 18, 2012 at Buffington Funeral Home Shiner. A Rosary will be held 7:00 pm, Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at St. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church in Shiner, Texas. A Funeral Mass will be held 10:00 am, Wednesday, June 20, 2012 at St. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church with Father Tommy Chen officiating, and will be followed by a burial at the St. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Cemetery.

Serving as her Pallbearers will be Michael Chilek, Gary Chilek, Matthew Kosler, Stephen Kosler, Timothy Kosler, Bobby Chilek, Jim Loos, and Brian Kurtz.

Memorials may be made to St. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church or Accolade Hospice.
