Joe is survived by his wife of over 26 years, Linda Luck. Also surviving are his sister, Debbie Guidry (Luke) and her family, his sister-in-law, Sandra Ryder and her family, his three children, Mark, Scott, and Jodi, 6 grandchildren, and numerous cousins in south Louisiana.
Joe graduated from Jennings High School, Jennings LA. He attended McNeese University before serving in the United State Air Force for 4 years. He then joined the Shreveport Police Department, retiring as a Lieutenant after 21 years.
Special thanks to Cardinal Care, Red River Home Health, and Amedisys Hospice for everything they all contributed to make this journey as easy as possible. Deep appreciation is extended to Josie. She came out of retirement to give such compassionate care in these last few weeks.
