Betty Allen Seay, 84, from DeBerry, Texas, went to her heavenly home after a short battle with lung cancer on Wednesday, June 18, 2025 in Shreveport, Louisiana. She was born on June 2, 1941 in Taylor, Arkansas to the late Chester and Josie Allen.
Betty worked at many printing companies in Shreveport, until she finally retired from Xerox in 2003. She loved to read and sit on her front porch watching the birds. She was also known for her delicious coconut pies.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, JC Allen, Herbert Allen, Odell Allen, and Billy Joe Allen; sister, Patricia Enis; and son-in-law, Doug Clarke.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Fred Seay Jr.; daughters, Jane Worley (Randy) of Bossier, Tammy Clarke of Shreveport, and son David Seay (Christy) of Bossier; grandchildren, Jenna Worley, Shelby Worley, Chase Clarke (Katie), Isabell Seay, and Ethan Seay (Andrea); great-grandchildren, Nora Clarke, Ruston Clarke, and Everett Worley; sisters Nadine Harris and Joyce Turner; and many nieces and nephews.
A visitation for Betty will be held Saturday, June 21, 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home, 8801 Mansfield Road, Shreveport, Louisiana 71108, followed by a celebration of life memorial service at 10:30 AM. Officiating pastor is Walter Burnett.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
