Beverly Trant passed away Saturday, May 5th. Visitation will be held Thursday, May 10, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home with a graveside service at 11:00 a.m. Officiating will be Dr. Larry Williams of Broadmoor Baptist Church.
She was born May 7, 1924 in Marathon, Iowa. She graduated from high school there and worked for the Corps of Engeneers in Fort Peck, Montana until the end of the war. She then applied for an overseas civil service job in Europe. A few months after starting college she was told that she had a job. It turned out to be Headquarters Air Forces in Europe in Wiesbadden, Germany. There she met her future husband and they stayed in the Air Force for 30 years. They were stationed from California to Maine and several states in-between, plus 10 years overseas. They retired in Shreveport in 1974. They became members of Broadmoor Baptist Church in 1969 where Beverly was always active in her Sunday School classes. She also had a tape ministry for several years.
She is survived by her husband of 71 years, Collie Trant; three grandchildren; and many nephews and nieces. She was preceeded in death by her parents; a brother; three sisters; and son, Dr. Michael Trant.
The family would like to thank Dr. Daniel Moller and his staff for many years of great care. They would also like to thank the ladies of Williams Sitting Services for several years of care and compassion.
