Candice Haynie

Candice Ellen Evans Haynie of Shreveport, LA., fought with optimism and bravery against glioblastoma cancer for almost 3 years. She was married to Arnold (Mike) Haynie for 26 years on Valentine’s Day.

She is preceded in death by her father, Adrian; mother, Gloria; brother, Randy Evans and a precious infant boy.

She is survived by her husband, Arnold (Mike) Haynie of Shreveport, LA; sons, Wes Newsom and Jessie Newsom and wife Kisha; step-children, Bart Haynie and wife Carla, Courtney LaBlanc and husband Jeff and Caroline Harris and husband McLean; grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Alana and Clark Newsom and Scarlett Newsom; step grandchildren, Jordan and Hunter LeBlanc, Sarah Ellen Haynie and Lakeland and Banks Harris; brother, Dr. Steve Evans and wife Terry of Phoenix, Arizona; her sister, friend and confidant, Barbara Hanley and husband Leonard of Nederland, Texas; three nieces and five nephews.

Candi was a joy to be around. She always had a twinkle in her eye and a zest for life.

A Life Celebration and Memorial will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, March 13, 2021 at First Baptist Church of Blanchard, 201 N. Attaway St., Shreveport, LA 71107.
