Curtis served with dedication in the Shreveport Fire Department and honorably served his country in the United States Navy. He was a master mechanic and ended his career proudly as the owner and operator of Wico Automotive.
Curtis was an avid outdoorsman. Enjoying fishing and hunting in his leisure time, he embraced the natural world with enthusiasm and skill. Curtis loved motorsports, as a young man he raced Cushman Motor Scooters, he was a Member of The Sports Car Club of America and raced dune buggies that he designed and built himself. He was a member of the Shreveport Chamber of Commerce and very well respected in the business community.
A strong man who loved his family deeply, Curtis is survived by his wife, Sherry Williams, along with six children (Julia, Curtis R, Theresa, Angela, Gerald, & Beau), fifteen grandchildren, and thirteen great-grandchildren. Curtis was a man of few words, but his integrity and intentions were never in question. Extremely self-reliant, he was able to fix or make just about anything needed to complete a job. His wisdom, skill, and work ethic are an example to us all.
He was preceded in death by his father, Curtis L. Williams, and his mother, Julia G. Williams.
A graveside service will be held at Centuries Memorial Park, located at 8801 Mansfield Road, Shreveport, LA 71108, on February 6, 2026, at 11:00 am.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to a charity or foundation of the donor's choice.
Dad, we love you and we will miss you, but God must have needed something fixed!
Rest In Peace.
