David was a Vietnam Veteran in the US Army. He retired as Safety Director for Sportran. He also worked part-time as a driver for Enterprise with his great friends Myron Page and Farrell Owens.
He loved Jesus and his church family and telling everyone he met about his Jesus. He enjoyed telling everyone he met a joke just to put a smile on their face. David especially loved antique cars, Nascar, his motorcycle rides with his friends and loving on his kids, grandkids, and great grandkids.
David was preceded in death by his parents Calvin Dean Losey and Eddie Jo Losey and siblings Rebecca Ann Losey and Ronald Dean Losey.
He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Sandra Losey; children, Angela Brooks and her husband Scott Brooks, Rebecca (Becky) Harris and her husband Cornelious (Nuchie) Harris, Deanna Kile and her husband Jacob Kile, and Ronald Losey and his wife Jenna Losey. Beloved grandchildren Brittany Multhaupt and her husband Charles (Bear) Multhaupt, Dakota Tutt and his wife Stormi Tutt, Valerie Losey Hardman and her husband Ryan Hardman, Dalton Brooks, James (JD) Brooks, Faith Gleason, Connor Marable, Colton Losey, Carter Losey, Emma Kile, Hudson Kile, Meoshia Wilson and her husband Lawrence Wilson, Cornelious (Martez) Jones, Cornelious (Scooby) Nickelson plus numerous beloved great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held at Rose Park Baptist Church, located at 5560 Buncombe Rd., Shreveport, LA 71129, on January 23, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at the same location, starting at 1:00 pm. Interment will be at the NWLA Veteran Cemetery at a later date. Honoring the family as pallbearers will be: Dakota Tutt, Connor Marable, Cornelious Jones, Cornelious Nickelson, Charles Multhaupt, Remington Multhaupt, Ryan Hardman, and Aaron Anderson. Honorary Pallbearers, Myron Page and Farrell Owens.
