Donald Gene Jennings

Shreveport, LA- Funeral services celebrating the life of Donald Gene Jennings, 74, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 24, 2012 in the chapel of Centuries Memorial Funeral Home. Officiating will be Bro. H.L. Kendrick. Interment will follow in Centuries Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home.

Mr. Jennings was born on August 30, 1938 in Bell City, Missouri, to the late Lowell Nesbitt and Marie Margaret Jennings and was called to his heavenly home on October 15, 2012 in Shreveport, Louisiana. Mr. Jennings will be remembered as a loving son who took care of his mother up until his time of illness, a caring sibling and a dear friend. Mr. Jennings spent most of his life as an office worker and retired from Wells Office Supply as a Sales Rep.

Mr. Jennings is preceded in death by his parents, Lowell and Marie Jennings; two brothers, Raymond Jennings and Gary Jennings; two nieces, Anna Marie Jennings and Crystal Lorena May.

Left to cherish beautiful memories of Donald and to tell his stories will be one brother, Lowell Thomas Jennings and wife Tina of Chester, VA; one sister, Margaret May and husband Hoss of Atlanta, TX; one sister-in-law, Betty Jennings of Shreveport, LA, as well as, numerous extended family members and many great friends.

The family would like to thank the staff of Southern Hills Nursing Facility for the care of Donald.
