Doris McMellon

A Celebration of Life service for Doris McMellon will be held on Tuesday, March 19, 2019 at 11 a.m. at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home. Pastor Tommy Allen will officiate. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Monday, March 18, 2019 from 6-8 p.m. at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home.

Doris was born on July 5, 1947 in Coushatta, LA and went home to be with her Lord on March 15, 2019 after a lengthy illness. She was a resident of Stonewall, LA for over thirty years.

Doris was preceded in death by her parents, B.W. and Doris Fulghum, and by her brother, Bill Fulghum. Left to cherish her memory is her beloved husband of 52 years, Alton McMellon; son, Jeff Hickman; two daughters, Shelley Crain and husband Gary, and Carey Hawks; seven grandsons; four great-grandchildren; one sister, Annette Anderson and husband Tommy; two brothers, Jerry Fulghum and wife Peggy, and Rick Fulghum and wife Cheryl; and numerous nieces and nephews.
