Edith Marie Dockery

SHREVEPORT, LA. Celebration of Life services for Edith Marie Dockery, 85, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, August 12, 2012 at Providence Road Baptist Church located at 11708 Providence Rd. Keithville, La. with Bro. Chris Young officiating. The family will be receiving friends on Saturday, August 11, 2012 from the hours of 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.

Mrs. Dockery was born on March 16, 1927 in Sonora, La. To the late Noble and Eula Rogers and was called home on August 9, 2012.

Mrs. Dockery was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 46 years, William Dockery; four sisters and brothers, Ada Harrell, Larry Rogers, Donald Rogers and Audrey Holley and granddaughter, Karen Hodges. Left to cherish her memories will be her son, Donnie Hodges and wife Ruby; daughter, Amy Graham and husband Michael; three grandchildren, Ashley Graham, Christopher Graham and Tammy Adams; two great-grandchildren, Cody Hodges and Logan Carrington, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Dockery loved to play Skip-Bo, travel and also loved to fish. She loved cooking for her family and friends. She was also involved in many church activities and events.

Honoring Mrs. Dockery as pallbearers will be, Chip Rogers, Jeff Harrell, Jerry Rogers, Christopher Graham, Cody Hodges and Dewayne Harrell. Honorary pallbearers will be J.B. Harrell and Dal Rogers.
