She was retired from Lucent Technologies. Ellen was a long time member of Brookwood Baptist Church. She was a talented artist and used that talent to paint and create decorative crafts which she sold across the the Ark-La-Tex. She was an avid Dallas Cowboy Fan and enjoyed spending time with her family camping, riding motorcycles, fishing, traveling, watching ball games and going to motorcycle and car races. She love to play any type of game. She belonged to several Bunco groups and would challenge her family to any number of games she relished in beating all of us regardless of age.
She was preceded in death by her parents Leonard Adcock, Mother Ellen Pauline Bennett, her step-father Sterling Ronald Bennett, father in law James H Starling Sr and her mother-in-law Annie Thelma Starling. Her son in law John Beebe, brother in law Kent Robertson, and nephew Eric Robertson.
Ellen is survived by her loving husband of 63 years James Starling, daughter Stephanie Starling Beebe, son David Starling and his wife Carol, her grandchildren Ashley Gray and her husband Skeeter, James Lis, Brandy Manuel and her husband Devin, Emily Hano and her husband Andrew, Zachary Starling, and Sarah Starling, Chelbie Hawthorne, her great grand children MaKayla Lis, Mercedes Lis, Christopher Lis, James Lis, David Lis, Maisy Hano, Oona Lea Manuel, Connor Morris Hunter Gray and Autumn Gray, her sister Pat Robertson, her brother Steve Adcock and his wife Noreen, sister Rhonda Hulett and husband Charlie, nephews Scott Robertson and his wife Sherry, Conner Hooker and wife Sarah, and nieces Christy Adcock-Williams, and Lillian Hooker, as well as numerous other family and friends.
