

Shreveport, LA- Funeral services celebrating the life of Floyd Kerbow, 81, will be held at 11 am on Wednesday, July 19, 2017 in the chapel of Centuries Memorial Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Centuries Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 5-7 pm Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home.
Floyd Kerbow was born on June 28, 1936 to parents, David Ardell Kerbow and Maggie Grigg Kerbow. He lived his entire life in Louisiana other than the time he spent in Germany and Arizona while serving his country in the Air Force. Mr. Kerbow married Sue Bess Long on July 26, 1955 and they had two children, David Jerald and Deborah Annette. Floyd worked at Holsum Bakery, Shreveport Packing and Frymaster as an electrician, welder and master millwright.
First in Floyd’s life was the Lord which was instilled in him at an early age by his parents. This formed the foundation of his moral and religious character. Next was his family which he loved and cherished dearly.
Floyd was an avid sportsman, especially hunting and fishing.
Mr. Kerbow was preceded in death by his parents; older brother, Guindal; son, David and his precious grandson, Danny David, II.
Left to honor and cherish Floyd’s memory is his wife of 62 years, Sue Kerbow; daughter, Deborah David and husband Danny; granddaughters, Amanda Vanhoose and husband James, Candice Kerbow and Cyndi Joachim; great grandchildren, Connor, Preston and Londyn; brother, John Kerbow and wife Betty; brother, Alfred Kerbow and sister, Lodee Greer.
