Mr. Francis Joseph Feeney Jr.

A Mass of Christian burial celebrating the life of Francis J. Feeney, Jr., 83, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 29, 2011 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Shreveport, LA. Interment will follow at Centuries Memorial Park, Shreveport, LA.

Francis was born on September 8, 1928 in Derby, Connecticut and passed away on November 21, 2011 at his residence in San Antonio, TX. Mr. Feeney was a 1949 graduate of Yale University. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Derby, Connecticut. Francis was a member of the Knights of Columbus as well as the P.T.O. of Southbury, Connecticut. He was dedicated and devoted to his family and loved them very much. He was very proud of all the successes and accomplishments that his children and grandchildren attained.

Preceding Francis in death were his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Francis Feeney, Sr.

Left to cherish beautiful memories of Francis is his wife of 53 years, Phyllis Feeney of San Antonio, TX; children, Dr. Francis Feeney and wife Jeanne of Wilbraham, MA, Mary Pacelli and husband Dr. Philip of New Canaan, CT and Col. Daniel Feeney, M.D. and wife Dr. Andrea of Shreveport, LA; one brother, Robert Feeney, PhD and wife Margie of Huntington, Long Island; two brother in laws, Fr. Robert Heffernan and Daniel Heffernan; grandchildren, Kaitlyn Pacelli, Erin Feeney, Philip Pacelli, IV, Ashley Pacelli, Jameson Feeney, Charlotte Feeney and Josephine Feeney. Mr. Feeney is also survived by special friends, Marion Boylan, Diane Murray and Patrick Murray.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests that donations be made to the Northwest Louisiana War Veteran’s Home, 3130 Arthur Ray Teague Parkway, Bossier City, LA-71112.
