Geography Poole Jr.

Geography was a dedicated truck driver for many years. He loved life on the road and found great joy in driving. In his free time, he enjoyed watching horse racing and spending time with his family, which brought him comfort, laughter, and love throughout his life.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Carrie W. Poole; his daughters Tammy Poole, Marteen Mitchell, Felicia Poole, and Robin Cato; and his god-daughter LaShonda Hall. He also leaves behind his brother Bill Poole Sr., sisters Lamar McClinton and Dorothy Poole, 13 grandchildren, and 20 great-grandchildren.

Geography was preceded in death by his parents, Ruby and Geography Poole Sr.; his brothers Jessie Poole Sr., George Williams, and Roy Lee Poole; and his sister Ann Gregg.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, July 10, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home, 8801 Mansfield Road, Shreveport, LA 71108. A Celebration of Life service will take place on Friday, July 11, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Centuries Memorial Chapel, with Pastor Lonnie Lars officiating. Geography will be laid to rest at Centuries Memorial Park, Fellowship Section, Lot 30, Grave 14A.

Serving as pallbearers are Tyrone Poole, Lamont Poole, Jamarcus Poole, Jason Poole, Randy Terry, Derrick McKinney, and Brandon Bonner.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Kevin Gallagher and the staff at Willis-Knighton Oncology for their compassionate care.

Geography Poole Jr. will be remembered for his strength, steady presence, and the love he gave so freely to his family. He will be deeply missed.
