Harvey "Scott" Litton was born August 17, 1961 in Shreveport, Louisiana to proud parents, Harvey and Virginia Litton. Scott retired from the Louisiana Department of Transportation at the age of 55 with 33 years of service.
Scott married the love of his life, Penny in 1984. They were soulmates. They are the proud parents of Christopher "Scotty" Litton and Ryan Litton. Scott's greatest sorrow came when he lost his son, Scotty at the young age of 25 and a year later both of his parents.
Scott was a family man. He loved and lived for his family. He was a Christian and loved his Lord. He loved vacationing, fishing and spending time with his family.
Scott is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Penny Schales Litton, son, Ryan Litton and fiancé, Sasha Salazar, grandchildren, Landry and Emma, who were the light of his life. He is also survived by three sisters, Lynn Lewis and husband, Sam, Vicki Schlemmer and husband, Bob and Connie Roberts and husband Carl; 66 nieces and nephews and many friends all across the U.S.
Scott worked his entire life to reach his goal of meeting his Lord and Savior, his parents, his in-laws, his son, Scotty and numerous friends and family members, who went before him.
Scott's last words were, "I can't wait to be in the arms of Jesus."
A visitation for Harvey will be held Tuesday, April 30, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home, 8801 Mansfield Road, Shreveport, Louisiana 71108, followed by a Celebration of Life at 12:00 PM. He will be laid to rest in Centuries Memorial Park. Officiating the service will be his brother-in-law, Rev. Bob Schlemmer. Honoring Scott as pallbearers will be nephews, Chris Roberts and Thomas Stephens, brothers-in-law, Carl Roberts and Tommy Stephens, and work buddy, Kerry Williams. Honorary pallbearer will be Jason Blair.
To know him was to love him.
