Helen E Paddie, age 87, of Shreveport, Louisiana passed away on Sunday, January 2, 2022. Helen was born March 20, 1934 in Zwolle, Louisiana to John and Francis Ebarb. In her early school years she attended Catholic School in Zwolle. She worked at Libby Glass in Shreveport, Louisiana for many years. She also had a career as a line tester at General Electric and AT&T. She was a very hard worker.
Helen was a devoted member of St. Mary of the Pines Catholic Church. She was a beautiful women inside and out. She never had an enemy, always had a kind word to say and was loved by everyone. Helen's passion in life was cooking. She enjoyed watching cooking shows and always had a home cooked meal for her family on the table. She dedicated her life to her family, who were the most important thing to her along with her faith. She cherished the time dining out to restaurants with her daughter. One of her favorite memories was the family vacation to Florida in 1976.
Left to cherish her memory are her son, Howard D. Paddie; daughter, Sharon Kay Paddie; and her grandchildren, Mark Paddie and his wife Kellie and Cindy Paddie Haynes. She was preceded in death by her husband Huey Paddie and her parents.
A visitation for Helen will be held Monday, January 10, 2022 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at St Mary of the Pines, 1050 Bert Kouns Industrial Loop, Shreveport, Louisiana 71118, followed by a funeral mass at 1:30 PM. She will be laid to rest in Centuries Memorial Park, 8801 Mansfield Rd., Shreveport, LA 71108. Honoring her as pallbearers are Howard Paddie, Roland Pullen, Rusty Graham and Richard Speaks.
