A celebration of life will be held Saturday, June 11, 2022 from 1:30 to 3:30 pm at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home, 8801 Mansfield Road, Shreveport, Louisiana 71108. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Jerry's memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the American Heart Association.
Jerry W. Longoria of Shreveport, Louisiana passed away on May 25, 2022 after a short illness surrounded by family at the age of 82. Jerry was born in Shreveport, Louisiana on December 23, 1939.
Jerry was a man of many talents and careers. He was a draftsman, owned and operated Old Gator Drag Strip, new car salesman at Holmes Pontiac, and owned and operated Longoria Auto Sales. His last business endeavor was Jerry Longoria Realtor until his retirement in 2015. Jerry always had a love of speed, including power boats and fast cars. He was a member of River Cities Corvette Club.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife and best friend of 48 years, Charlotte Longoria; his daughter, Rene Longoria; son, Scott Huff and wife Carla; granddaughter, Haylee Haigler; grandson, Dylan Huff and DeeDee; great grandchildren, Carly, Parker and Cameron; sisters, Patricia L. Hervey and husband, Hubert and Billie Lynn Raybourn and husband, Russell; brothers, Lane Longoria and wife, Charlotte and Russell Fory and wife Sirlina, along with a host of extended family members and friends.
Jerry was preceded in death by his young son, Timothy Longoria; his father, Bill and Flo Longoria; his mother, Nadine Cobb Fory; and maternal grandparents, Mattie and Thomas Cobb.
The family would like to express their utmost gratitude to Oschners LSU Hospital and the wonderful doctors and nurses in the ICU Trauma Unit. The family would also like to thank Chris Gardner for all his help during this time.
