Jimmy Birdwell Crabtree, Jr. passed away on Sunday, January 14, 2024. He was born October 5, 1941 to the late Jimmy Birdwell Crabtree, Sr. and Carmen Barton. He honorably served his Country in the United States Marine Corp for four years.
Jimmy was a loving father, grandfather, brother and friend. He was committed to his family and his community. He honorably served his country in the United States Marines Corp for four years. He retired from the Caddo Parish Sheriff Office as a detective, where he dedicated his professional life, in investigations and warrants. He enjoyed watching NASCAR, reading Western novels and especially Christmas Holidays with the family. His family came first always. He will be deeply missed by those he loved.
Left to cherish his memory are his sons, Scott Crabtree and Chad Crabtree; sisters, Georgia Candler (Mike) and Helen Philmon (Glen); granddaughters, Kalley Crabtree (Joe) and Kenzie Crabtree; grandson, Brandon Crabtree (Becka); four great grandchildren; along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
A celebration of life for Jimmy will be held Thursday, January 25, 2024 at 3:00 PM at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home & Park, 8801 Mansfield Road, Shreveport, Louisiana 71108. A graveside will occur Friday, January 26, 2024 at 10:30 AM at Northwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery, 7970 Mike Clark Rd, Keithville, Louisiana 71047.
Honoring him as pallbearers are Scott Crabtree, Chad Crabtree, Brandon Crabtree, Bronson Candler, Adam Candler and Caylan Coco.
