Joan "Nan" Geneva Grantham

Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Joan Geneva “Nan” Grantham will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, December 10, 2017, at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home. Officiating the service will be Bro. John Lary, Pastor of Calvary Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Centuries Memorial Park. There will be a brief visitation beginning at 1:00 p.m. prior to the service.

Nan was born on September 29, 1931, in Mansfield, LA and passed away on Thursday morning, December 7, 2017. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and spent many years working as Assistant Director in the Calvary Church Day Care. Although she enjoyed working with the children, her number one priority was being a wife, mother and grandmother. Her family always came first. In addition to the many hats she wore, Nan was a mighty prayer warrior. Anyone who knew her, knew when Nan prayed, something was “going to happen”.

Mrs. Grantham leaves behind her husband of 69 years, Edwin Grantham; her children, Jayne Wimberly and husband Rodney, Steve Alan Grantham and wife Sunni, Gary Glen Grantham and wife Shari, and Jon David Grantham and wife Kim; seventeen grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family. She is preceded in death by her parents, Marcus F. Gill, Sr. and Agnes Youngblood Gill; one sister and two brothers.
