Shreveport, LA Joe P. Morgan, Jr. was born June 9, 1924 in Glendora, MS. His parents were Etta Mae and Joe Morgan, Sr. He went to be with his Lord on November 3, 2016.
Mr. Morgan was employed by the city of Shreveport for more than 30 years. He is preceded in death by his wife of 66 years Wilma Holmes Morgan, his parents, four siblings, R.C., Paul, Inez and Billy.
Mr. Morgan is survived by four sons, Joe P Morgan III (Gini), Billy Roy Morgan, Wayne Morgan (Freddie), Rodney Dale Morgan (Nina), a daughter Patsy Franklin (Scottie), ten grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild.
A service celebrating the life of Mr. Joe P. Morgan, Jr. will be held Monday, November 7 at 10:00 A.M. at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home, Interment will follow in Centuries Memorial Park. Visitation with the family will be held Sunday November 6 from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. at the Funeral Home.
