Mr. Grubbs was a devoted and loving father and grandfather. Johnny was a man of sharp wit and was known to have a sly, dry and rye sense of humor that always kept his family and friends amused. He was a lifetime avid bowler and once bowled a League 300 game while in college at Louisiana Tech. Even within the last two years he was still able to bowl a near perfect 299 League game. Mr. Grubbs was an avid pool player having played for the APA 9-ball League for 10 years. Johnny loved football and was an avid LSU and Saints fan. The greatest joy of his family was knowing that he had a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

Left to cherish beautiful memories of Johnny are his children, Brent Layton Grubbs and wife Carolyn Francis and April Grubbs Acosta; one brother, Le Grubbs and wife Wendy and granddaughter, Madison Acosta. He is also survived by numerous other special relatives and friends.
