Katherine Nell Stephens

Katherine Nell Stephens of Shreveport, Louisiana passed away on Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at the age of 80 surrounded by her loved ones. She was born January 9, 1940 in Church Point, Louisiana to Julian and Effie King.

Nell was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend to many. Her greatest joy was being a Mom and Nana. Her favorite pastime was gathering for Sunday dinners with the family. Everyone was welcome in her home. She will be deeply missed by all who loved her.

Left to cherish her memory are her sister, Helen Franklin and husband C.L.; children, Kathy, Lynn, Ernest Jr. and wife Nikki, Ranell and partner Julie, and Terri and husband Tony; grandchildren, Chanell, Shelia and husband Bubba, Josh, Tyler, Joey and Justin; great grandchildren, Damein, Devin, Kassie, Will, Gunner, Kayne and Stella; bonus daughter, Linda; best friend, Billie; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Debbie Faye Stephens; parents, and a brother, Bobby Lynn.

A visitation for Nell will be held Sunday, January 10, 2021 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home, 8801 Mansfield Rd, Shreveport, Louisiana 71108. A celebration of life service will occur Monday, January 11, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home with an interment in Centuries Memorial Park following the service. Officiating the services will be Jerry Waren. Serving as pallbearers will be her grandson, Josh, Tyler, Joey, Justin, Damein, Devin and Will. Honorary pallbearers will be Gunner, Kayne, Hunter, A.J., Jr., Ron Fong, Mike VanDenBoom, Stanley Steadman, Bobby Dale Armour Jr., and Bobby Lynn King Jr.
