Born, October 21, 1968, in Natchitoches, LA to Lloyd and Kayla Craig. Kevin attended Captain Shreve High School, during which time he met his devoted wife, Monica Hayden Craig. Kevin and Monica were married at Gateway Church (formally Broadmoor) in January 1990. Together for over 39 years, their love story was truly everlasting. Through unfailable faith they remained steadfast and stoic throughout Kevin’s battle with Polycystic Kidney Disease, which led to multiple kidney transplants, cancer diagnosis, and open heart surgery. Kevin showed immense bravery against unfavorable odds. He was truly a miracle walking and an example of God’s goodness.
Never allowing his health to get in his way or slow him down, Kevin was passionate about serving the people around him through cooking, coaching, and volunteering. All who knew him can confirm, his heart was as big as his smile. He was so many things, an incredible dad, a devoted husband, a faithful friend, and a man who gave of himself so generously. His life was marked by love, laughter, and a deep care for others, and his legacy will live on through the countless lives he touched.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Brent Craig. He is survived by a loving family: his wife Monica, four children and two daughter in laws and one son in law, Hayden and Adalyn Craig, Lane and Grant Jones, Landon Craig and Celeste Baber, and Clayton Craig, his grandchildren Callon Craig and Samuel Jones. He will also be lovingly remembered by his parents Lloyd and Kayla Craig, Siblings Amber and Ted Pratt, Corey and Megan Craig, Jamie and Ben Hogg, and Lisa H. Crowder, along with 21 nieces and nephews who loved him greatly. Raised step in step he will also be dearly missed by Dean Craig who was always at his side like a brother.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, August 30, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Gateway Church. A Celebration of Life will follow at 2:00 PM. His family will welcome those wishing to pay their respects.
