Larry John Kirspel of Covington, Louisiana passed away on Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at the age of 72. He was born January 10, 1949 in Shreveport, Louisiana to John Anthony and Lou Askew Kirspel. Larry worked most for over 45 years in the Oil and Gas industry working for many companies during his career. In 2019, he retired from Pisces Energy Oil and Gas.
Larry was a hardworking, quiet and respectful man who loved his family, especially his grandchildren. He enjoyed taking the grandchildren on vacations and trips to Grand Isle. He was an early riser and would get the grandkids up when they stayed with him. He liked watching sports and Fox News. He was a member of St. Joseph Abbey in Covington, LA for many years. Larry was always working and staying busy. He treated everyone with respect and kindness. He will truly be missed by all who loved him.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 22 years, Pat; children, Sherri Williams (Scott), John Kirspel (Natalie), Christina Adams (Wayne) and Tim Harvey (Rebecca); grandchildren, Ronnie, Emilie, Mark, Megan, Allison and Evan; and Paw-Paw Larry to Payton, Tanner, Grace, Maelin and Eva.
He was preceded in death by his parents and son, Eric Harvey.
A visitation for Larry will be held Wednesday, September 15, 2021 from 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home, 8801 Mansfield Road, Shreveport, Louisiana 71108, followed by a funeral service at 1:30 PM. Father Kevin Mues will be officiating the service. He will be laid to rest in Centuries Memorial Park, 8801 Mansfield Road, Shreveport, LA 71108.
