LaVerne Marie Savat

SHREVEPORT, LA – Celebration of Life services for LaVerne Marie Chandler Savat, 86, will be held, 2:00 p.m., Sunday, January 15, 2012, in Centuries Memorial Chapel with Msgr. Earl V. Provenza, V.F., of Holy Trinity officiating. Interment will immediately follow services within the Centuries Memorial Park, Shreveport, Louisiana. The family will be receiving guests for visitation Saturday, January 14, 2012, from the hours of 5-7 p.m. at Centuries.

LaVerne was born August 18, 1925, in Vivian, Louisiana, to the late JR and Josephine Blue Chandler and passed away January 11, 2012, in Shreveport, Louisiana. She was a member of St. Mary of the Pines Catholic Church. LaVerne enjoyed spending time on the water in her spare moments. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

LaVerne was preceded in death by her parents. Left to cherish LaVerne’s memory and tell her stories will be her four children; Connie Casey, Toni Camp and husband Travis, Stephen Anthony Savat and wife Terri, and Gregory F. Savat, one sister; Betty June Frantom and husband Joe, six grandchildren, one great-grandchild along with numerous extended family members and many wonderful friends.

Honoring LaVerne as pallbearers will be Colby Savat, Frank Savat, Jr., Travis Camp, Bo Williams, Todd Camp, and Joseph Dixon.

Memorials may be made in honor of LaVerne to St. Jude’s Children’s Research!!!
