Louise Carver, 84, of Greenwood, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 22, 2025. Born in Gary, Texas, to Lillian Porter Hudson and Hayward Hudson, Louise brought warmth, joy, and a deep sense of love to everyone who knew her.
Family was the heart of Louise’s world. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister, and nothing made her happier than being surrounded by her loved ones. She cherished every moment spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and her home was always a gathering place filled with laughter, stories, and celebration.
Louise had a passion for travel, often hitting the road with friends in search of new adventures and good times. She had a special love for plants and flowers, especially roses, and took great joy in decorating her home for every holiday. No occasion was too small—Louise was always ready to celebrate, bringing her fun-loving spirit and vibrant personality to every party.
She is survived by her sister Myra Posey; her children Harold Carver Jr. (Kim), David Carver (Andrea), Jeff Carver (Bunny), and Sherry Carver; her grandchildren Shana Lira (Jacob), Dylan Carver (Bekah), Derek Moore (Melanie), Justin Carver (Paige), Jacob Carver (Emily), Dynae' Lorenz (Garrett), Ethan Fountain (Jaymie), Cody Carver (Teresa), Kaylee Carver, Hunter Fountain (Chelsea), and Hayden Carver; and her 15 beloved great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews who held a special place in her heart.
Louise was preceded in death by her parents, Hayward and Lillian Hudson; her brother Leon Hudson; and her sister Ethel Johnson.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2025, from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home, 8801 Mansfield Road, Shreveport, Louisiana. A Celebration of Life will follow at 1:30 PM, with graveside committal to take place at 3:00 PM at Restland Cemetery in Waskom, Texas.
Serving as pallbearers are Dylan Carver, Justin Carver, Jacob Carver, Derek Moore, Cody Carver, Hunter Fountain, Ethan Fountain, and Hayden Carver.
Louise leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unforgettable memories. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
