

Shreveport, LA- A memorial service celebrating the life of Margaret Ann "Sunny" Nolan Bell, 63, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 7, 2016 in the chapel of Centuries Memorial Funeral Home. Officiating will be Mr. David Taggart. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 1:00 p.m. until service time on Thursday at Centuries.
Sunny was born on May 27, 1953 in Shreveport, LA and entered into rest on Sunday, July 3, 2016. Most of Sunny's early life was spent in Alexandria, LA. She was a graduate of Holy Savior Menard Central High School in Alexandria and Computer Programming Institute in Dallas, TX. She was a member of Kings Highway Christian Church. Much of her early career was spent in the computer field. She was active in the creation of the Northwest Louisiana Food Bank, and served as its first Executive Director. Her later career was spent in the accounting field utilizing her computer skills. Her final employment was as a staff accountant for U.L. Coleman Properties.
Mrs. Bell was preceded in death by her mother, Hortense Nolan and one brother, Keith Nolan.
Left to cherish beautiful memories of Sunny are her husband of 38 years, Larry; daughter, Jennifer Bell of Longview, TX; stepson, Kevin Bell and wife Desiree, and their daughter Alexandra of Bedford, TX; her father, George Nolan of Alexandria, LA; brother, Bruce Nolan and wife Linda of Alexandria, LA and sister, Janie Ellis and her husband Rick of Tomball, TX. She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Maxwell McDonald, the entire staff of the Willis-Knighton Cancer Center and the Willis Knighton Hospice team for the compassion shown to Sunny over the many years of her treatments.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests that donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or Kings Highway Christian Church.
