

Mary Kathleen (Kathy) Bledsoe was born July 1, 1932 in Crosby, MS. She went to be with her Lord December 14, 2015. She was youngest of ten children, six brothers and three sisters. She married James (Jimmy) Bledsoe on October 2, 1953. She and Jimmy, the love of her life, whom she met on a blind date, were married for 62 years. She loved the Lord first of all, then she loved her husband, children and grandchildren. She served the Lord in her church by teaching 3rd grade Sunday School and singing in the choir for many years. She will always be remembered for being fun loving and happy go lucky. She had a comical personality, and was always friendly. She was also always concerned with helping others. Jim and Kathy had the opportunity to travel and live many places while he served in the U. S. Air Force. She was a stay at home mom, raised two daughters and loved spending time with her family especially her two grandsons, Caleb and Cody. Mammaw was her name since grandkids came on the scene. She loved to travel, grow beautiful flowers, and was always ready to go somewhere new when the opportunity arose.
Mrs. Bledsoe was preceded in death by her parents and siblings. She is survived by her husband, James E. Bledsoe; two daughters, Paula B. Killian and husband Ed N. Killian and Denise Bledsoe; grandsons, Caleb Killian and wife Camille and Cody Killian; numerous other relatives and friends.
A service celebrating the life of Mrs. Bledsoe will be conducted Thursday, December 17, 2015, 2:00 PM at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home, Shreveport, LA Officiating will be Rev. Freddie Williford. Interment will follow in Centuries Memorial Park. Visitation with the family will be Wednesday, December 16 from 5 until 7 PM at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Caleb Killian, Cody Killian, Bill McSween, Stan Sipes, Tate Miller and David Rose.
