Molly B. Edwards

Services for Molly Nell Edwards, 89, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, December 11, 2017, at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home with Dr. Pat Day officiating. Interment will follow in Centuries Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 2:30 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 10th at the funeral home.

Molly was born on July 31, 1928, in Mist, AR to Scott and Edythe Boykin and departed from her earthly life on Thursday, December 7, 2017, peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family. Molly loved to dance, play cards and golf. She made a grand entrance everywhere she went with her beauty and her energetic personality. She loved to laugh and have fun and lived life to the fullest every day. She married Max Edwards in 1997, and joined him as an active member of First United Methodist Church of Shreveport.

Molly is survived by her husband, Max Edwards; her brother, Billy Boykin; three daughters, Cheryl Coleman, Ginger Johnson, and Ebee Allen and husband Clay; five grandchildren, Alex Henry, Spence Sandifer, Summer Hearne, Clayton Allen, and Garrett Allen; and six great-grandchildren, Haley, Parker, Dylan, Hannah, Cooper, and Brooke. She is preceded in death by her parents, Scott and Edythe Boykin and her sister, Elberta (Dump) Pennington.

The family would like to thank Ashley Lusk for the love and care she gave Molly in her final days.

Pallbearers will be Spence Sandifer, Dylan Sandifer, Clayton Allen, Garrett Allen, Jay Hearne, and Parker Hearne.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Alzheimer’s Association or to First United Methodist Church of Shreveport.
