Nancy Lucile Loper

Nancy Smith Loper was born September 21, 1946 in Texas City, TX. Her parents were Jamie White Smith and Andrew T. Smith, Sr. She graduated from Fair Park High School in 1964. Nancy retired from Overton Brooks VA Medical Center after 26 years of service. She devoted her life to caring for her family, especially her grandchildren.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, she is survived by her husband of 50 years, Paul A. Loper, Sr.; sons, Paul A. Loper, Jr. and Troy Alan Loper and wife Tila; daughters, Jamie L. King and husband Ray, Shannon L. Younce and husband Jerry, and Holly L. Collins and husband Ronnie; brother, Andrew Tyrus Smith, Jr. and wife Gloria; sister, Jackie L. Smith; ten grandchildren, Chelsea, Glendon, and Jacob King, Cierra Loper, Codi, Bailey, and Jerry Younce, and Olivia, Ty, and Nova Ackley; and many other relatives and friends.

A graveside service will be held at Greenwood Cemetery, Greenwood, LA on Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at 2:00 PM. Officiating will be Rev. Theresa McConnell and Brother Michael Scott. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 1, 2014 from 5 PM until 8 PM at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home, Shreveport, LA.

Pallbearers are Glendon King, Jacob King, Sean Smith, Stoney Ryan, Michael Iman and Michael Davis.
