
During her life, she worked for Morgan Buick GMC as their payroll clerk for many years before retiring. After retiring, she spent her time doing what she enjoyed. She liked repairing things around the house, cross-stitching, bowling, and most of all spending time with her family. She was an avid bowler and even taught children how to bowl for several years. She taught vacation bible school at Southern Hills Church when her children where young. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. Patricia will be deeply missed by her family, friends and all who knew her.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 25 years, Marvin McVay; children, Deborah L. McKenzie and Jay P. Brawley Sr.; grandchildren, Col. David W. Payne Jr. and partner Kate, Col. Robert D. Payne and wife Laura, JP Brawley Jr. and wife Tara, Chad Brawley and wife Tracy, Bobby C Brawley III, Alice Newlin and husband Chad, and Jesse Brawley; and numerous great and great great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Bobby C. Brawley Sr.; son, Bobby C. Brawley Jr.; parents, Amos R. Cranford and Ethel Irene Boyett Cranford; and brother, Herman Ray Cranford.
In light of the public safeguards pertaining to the current COVID-19 pandemic the family will be having a private viewing and graveside service at Centuries Memorial Park with Bro. Ted Hardan of Countryside Christian Church will be officiating the services. Acting as honorary pallbearers will be Col. David W. Payne Jr., Col. Robert D. Payne, Bobby C. Brawley III, Jesse Brawley, JP Brawley Jr. and Chad Brawley.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Patricia’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
