Born in Alma, Michigan, Ric was the beloved son of Connie Sanchez Garcia and Henry Garcia. He was a proud and hardworking man who dedicated 33 years of service to General Motors. His strong work ethic and loyalty defined much of his career and left a lasting impression on those who worked alongside him.
But Ric’s life was far from being just about work — he lived life fully and on his own terms. He had a deep love for the outdoors and found peace in nature. Fishing was more than a pastime for him — it was a way of life. Whether it was early mornings by the lake or long afternoons casting a line with family and friends, Ric found joy and calm near the water. He especially loved camping, where the quiet of the woods, the crackle of a fire, and the company of those he loved made him feel most at home.
Ric was also a passionate motorcycle enthusiast. He had a special love for Harley-Davidsons — not just the bikes, but the sense of freedom and brotherhood they represented. The roar of the engine and the open road brought him real happiness.
When he wasn’t outdoors or on his bike, Ric found joy in music and movement. He loved to dance and could often be found enjoying a good tune — whether tapping his foot, singing along, or getting up to dance with his wife, Tina. Music was the soundtrack to many of his best memories.
Ric also enjoyed a good game of pool and never turned down a chance to hit the lanes for bowling. He had a competitive spirit, but always made it about fun and connection with those around him. And when the season was right, he headed to the woods to hunt — not just for the sport, but for the tradition and time spent with those who mattered to him.
Above all, Ric was a man who loved deeply and lived fully. He had a great sense of humor, a generous heart, and a gift for making people feel welcome. His presence filled a room, and his stories — always told with a smile — will be remembered fondly.
Ric is survived by his loving wife, Tina Garcia; his children: Jasmine Morton (Jason), Rich Garcia, Greg Garcia (Maria), Nicole Clark (Shawn), Gary Garcia, and Toni Scarborough (Donald); his siblings: Gilbert Garcia, Michael Garcia, David Garcia (Tracy), Anita Case (Gary), Sandy Larson, and Rose Garcia.
He was preceded in death by his father, Henry Garcia, and his mother, Connie Sanchez Garcia.
Ric leaves behind a legacy of laughter, love, and unforgettable memories. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
