Ronald "Ron" Gene Hookie Jr., age 49, of Shreveport, Louisiana passed away on Saturday May 16, 2020. Ron was born August 1, 1970 in Shreveport, Louisiana to Margie Lewis and Ronald Gene Hookie Sr..
Ron held many jobs through out his life. He worked for the Louisiana Department of Corrections. He was also a karaoke DJ, an entertainer, and a construction worker. He was a genius with electronics. Ron's favorite thing to do was to sing. He was gifted with an awesome voice! Entertaining the world one song at a time. He was funny, he loved to joke and play around. He loved NASCAR, really any fast car.
Ron was preceded in death by; father, Ronald Gene Hookie Sr.; mother, Margie Lewis; and grandparents.
Ron is survived by; daughters, Amanda Flecher, Destiny Hookie (Derek); son, Connor Ashley Hookie; sisters, Stephanie Hookie, Melissa Wilson; grandchildren, Kaiden Fletcher, Karter Fletcher, Emery Fletcher, and Colton Chandler; girlfriend, Cambrie Peace. Ron is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and karaoke family.
A graveside service will be held for Ron on Saturday, May 23, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Pavilion in Centuries Memorial Park, with Dr. Rodney E. Williams officiating.
